There are connection issues with iOS devices running iOS 13 or 13.1. We are working on it and we will release a new version when we fixed it. But, in the mean time this is what we have found:

If the app is not running, then we you start it you will connect to the server, and you can play an online game. Now, if that connection is lost (either the list of online players is emptied or you can not invite any player to a game), the only solution is to terminate the app, and wait for a few minutes. Then, start it again, and you should be able to play an online game.
